5-3-34 ?? Sieymbrium austriacum Jaeg. Cate 194, Box 24 = S. pyrenaicum Vill & austriacum 3v/6 191 FL. B at dumped by from Villeneuve. This seemly likely to be the same plant as 6-3-33 and (anther) moother dese. fits as well as this. Plant 2 ½ ft high. St. globose & glaucous, look simple but branch- esses starting in all ff axils. Root v basal lv (if any) not coll. has dark gray-green, smooth/ blue calyptra to touch. The lighter mid-nerves conspicuous. Segments of lf broad based v triangular or lanceo- lote ± runcinate. The upper lvs with 10-2 pairs rather conspicuously narrow lance-linear downward curved segments. Fls def yellow same shade as Eriocaulum obtusangulum. Pedicels slender, to 6mm in fl v 10 mm in very young fls. Sepals yellower, slightly spreading (but not the longitudals as in E. ob —), the latteria hardly accute at base but broad at apex with a very slight obtuse horn (broad of tip) with 2 very short hairs on lorn. Petals to 2 ¼ mm long, not abruptly narrowed into claw. Fists too young to study but already spreading curved downward suggesting plant of 6-3-33. Style (in fl/) 1mm long v ½ (a slightly less) mm thick. 2 Stigma circular disk 1mm diam very slightly 2-lobed [5-25-34 same apost llldest & now 23 moed. This is surely same as 6-3-33 whatever that was.
