Canal said by Noville (floating downstream from cutting higher up) Opposite lvs bear no question ident. Effect very like all BOH (esp alertest branch in all.) has broadly oval (1/7x3 mm) 5-5-34 No fl & f. with lvs from cutting higher upstream. A thick, hollow, rooting at the 4 nodes about point where cut. Lvs on piece as cut seem to have been all above water. this is not certain as 2 lower lvs brown as tho in water. Petioles hollow & easily compressed. 1 over to 12 in long with 17 lfts primly arranged. Lfts set very close, each pair set very close together at the front so that their axis is so that they seem to be touching (not on opposite sides of axis as in many plants (To this what SVI means for Heloneiadum nodiflorum p480?))
