4-27-34 Rhinanthus Alectorolophus Poll s.n. strict. SVK1611. F.L. Slim. Toot & paper lip 2 mm long calyx wooly as surely R.A - sens lat. Internodes 4 to base of flower / 12-39-62-34 mm respect. from base upward Subfloresing 13-19-34-23 mm respect. has pedicels very broad standing obliquely upwards and all except basal pair very much shorter than internodes. Stem strawber red. The upper 3 pairs of loose branch buds, the uppermost furthest developed. Seed not developed enough to determine asp. but as found in meadows perhaps asp. medina SVT. 4-30-34 Carex Davalliana Sm. Costill 492, Bon 329, SV17 102, M and F plants. And Massillon (See 7-4-33) Plants to 15 cm. high. F spikes (young) 16-13 mm long which looks very as all Costa. 4-26-34 Carpinus Betulus L. Costill 260, Bon 286, BVH 429, BMJCP 229, SVK195. FL M and F near Chantaband (Also in Hat thin now). The pendant or catkins on last yrs. twigs as desc. BMJCPs ± 2½ in. conspicua. The catkins microspicuous on new growths now about sin long slender rather loose, the red stigmas visible inside an ovate (with a acuminate tip recurved) scale [This is evidently the bract desc. as deciduous] Note 2 flo in each bract as desc. All BVH good in this respect.
