4-27-39 Barbarea procera x P. Br. Costa I 90, (Bor) = B. verna Ascherson BVH II*38, X 433, BMJCP. 906, SVK I 299 fl valv. fr. Rod & water tank at house over tunnel west of V-M. Note the 2 lateral crescent shaped glands v 2 median oblong glands as seen SVK I. The thick fruiting pedicels all to pinnatifid and for most to 5 cm long leaves modoubt ident. But effect much as in BVH II*38. Pedicels (in fl) 3mm, calyx 4mm, fl to tip of petals 7mm. Lateral sepals slightly acute at base. Sepal erect v close to petals, and fl almost the same deep yellow as petals. Fl does not lose small & insignificant The lowest st. has with about 8 lateral segments. Of these segments the lowest are small v linear, those nearer the tip is broader & long (but not regularly circular as SVK suggests). Seg. on upper lvs linear-oblong. Basal lvs (now withering) seem to have been like lower at. lvs but segments fewer v smaller. One oldest fr the 5mm pedicels is fully articlkd as the 5cm long pod. Pod decidedly 'boring' & stegent see all BVH II*. Petals 2 mm wide near tip. cf with B. vulgaris of 5-3-34
