4-11-34 ??? Pyrola rotundifolia L. Costa I 2084, Bon 203, BVH 296, SVK I 505. No flowers. Underalotly growth. La Strangelle (near ? Carex alba). Plant has all the look of P. Lowest lvs. seems to have survived the winter. ! won't get. About 6cm lvs 3.5 x 3.5 cm, grey rounded at apex, hardly cordate at base but (because the portion [l]ares formed) seems to be cordate, lvs almost entire, shining on upper surface. [4-13-34 What seemed to be similar plant seen near upper path to C de Narcos. Not collected] 2 4-11-34 Myosotis arvensis Hell 9684, BVH 323, SVK I 545 - M- Lawn BMJ CP 6 204, M. intermedia Reuleb. Costa II 601, Bon 2 204. Bud (opened in [l]ouse). Dist west of Bourveret. Closer to M. silvatica[?] Clin 4-19-34]. Root a well-developed luffy fiber with many remains of lost crown, suggest- ing a biennis. 10 stems (now bundled) others much slighter. Tallest lvs ± 8 inches high to base. Terminal nift with budding infl. in upper axil. Men effect in other respects very like M. sil-. But its lvs look rather thicker, more translucent & more conspicuously hairy. Calyx teeth def longer than tube (in M. sil- they are equal) and more nearly lanceolate (in M. sil- & M. angu- lar). Hell 9684 is like M. silvatica this teeth are too wide & too blunt even for that at [f]l. stages. Calyx tube longer than corolla tube so that tips of calyx teeth are bent
