Bonnet and St Grignols La Grangette to Bonnet or beyond 4-11-34 ♀ Carex alba Scop Costa III 572, Bor 336, 50 KT. 114 Early fl. Path shortly beyond La Grangette. St Bl. stock creeping. Sts arising at points near together (as in ill Cate). Sts(mos) 8-15 cm high, the new bs shorter but old bs longer. 2 to 3 basal lf sheaths very pale brown. bs 1 mm wide, glabrous, somewhat rough on edges. Terminal spike ♂ with 2 slender peduncled ♀ spikes close below. Each spike with obsetting bract which is white and t transparent on edges v at top (the green mid nerve not reaching to the top). Scales white villus. Stigmas 3. Perigynium glabrous and(mos) linear-elong. (Note that in side and at base ♀ perigynium is at least sometimes found a filiform vein that reaches two beyond mouth ♀ perigynium). ♀ spikes seem to bear more than 3 to 5 flo (perhaps as many as 8) but flo too young to study well.
