4-10-34 paler v slightly pinkish-blue inside) with a darker blue line in middle. Perianth fully 1.5cm long v segments so nearly rotate that fl is 2.5cm (i.e. 1in) across. Pedicels 1cm or less. Seg free almost to base. Filaments gradually broadened towards base. Antherodorsifixed, blue. 1 to 5 in long, about 10mm wide at base x 14mm near tips where blade become flat. Style 5mm high, reaching top of anthers, and a little gest at base. The next best guess seems S. amoena, Cort. III 320, Bon. 393, SVT 184 (tips broadly acute & somalioped. Fls rather nodding. Scapes 2. 4-11-34 Anemone ranunculoides L. Cort I 43, Bon 5, SVT 260 Fl. Roadside about ½ way from Boweret to St. Gingolph. Cf with A. nemoralis. Not dif in involucres (well fill Cort) b.r - has ind lor. ve short droul petioles so that they seem almost sessile bits. Divisions are less neatly distinct. Divisions narrower than in A.n - more irreg & more deeply v shaped but incised. Invol as well as fls rather suggestive & Ranunculus. 4-11-34 Anemone nemoralis L. Fl. A magnificent clox carpeting the woods on path from La Grenette towards Boweret and frequent on road from Boweret towards St. Gingolph.
