Fl. Almost surely in pit shortly above hotel Roches
de Nage. Roots thick & fleshy. Plant 6 cm high, glabrous.
Basal lvs of 3 serrile lfts, the 2 lateral deeply lobed
at base or often 4 distinct lfts all dentate to near
the cuneate base with obtuse teeth. St. lvs similar
serrile with lfts stalked (lvs outflending lowest
branches) or sessile (lvs outflending upper branches)
lvs all glabrous. Lfts 4 x 2 cm, irregularly oval lower
st. lfts as large as basal ones, the upper most small
linear, entire. St with 2-3 branches terminating
in 1-3 flo. Pedicels short (not more than 2.5cm usually
much less) softly pubescent, not ridged. Flos 12mm.
across. Petals white with no scale over necki-
fervous gland.* Receptacle hairy, carpels glabrous,
sthick, narrowed to short straight beak with
a hint of a bulge at base of beak inside. No
