Wole plant velvety and uppe part mac re less gland-pust. Besides [latter] spce. found with fl purp, st'los entirely green. 5-29-31 Halenaria conopsea L. BVH 462 = Orelis -L Bon 311 = O. conopsea L. Cote III 403 Fl. Sonehax, pas- tures just below hotel. Uvary 5mm, the spurs 15mm curving, slender, acute. Bracts orate, acuminate, merus too obscure to count. Fwoods noticed. Glands rather more than ½ mm long. 5-29-31 Orelis palustris Jacq. Cote III 402, Bon 311 (See also desc.) O. laxiflora Lam BVH 460 in which this may be included) Fl. Sonehax. frequent in fields & neighborhood. Difficult to be sure ident. sug- gests O. muscula L (See 4-22-31) but spikes longer & heavier (one had 35 fls) & fls of a dark reek reddish purple lower bracts with smooth an 3 nems. As set. O. palustris vs O. laxiflora Lamk, specimens all have middle lobe of lip longer than lateral lobes (and notched as desc. will Cote) & lip more or less spotted at base (sometimes only in cavity leading
