5-16-31 Bellidasturn Michelli Carr (See 5-12-81) Fl. Glion, Brook east of Val-Mont. Gf w/ blos 5-16-31 Bellis perennis L.(see ) Fl. Common at Glion. All 3 spec coll had several short spreading sts. from base (1/2-1 in long). These sts bearing loose stike blsds (few) which send up the long peduncles. This greatly suggests B. annual. (recorded by from Mediterranean region) but seems unquestionably perennial, orig- inating from thickish underground runners 3 1-1/2 in. Plant has strictly basal los blades 5-18-31 Anterisena silvestris Hoffm. Cata # 319, Box = Chaerophyllum Silvestre L. Box 135, BVH 306. Common, began fl by 4-7-31. St practically glabrous this summer but rough to touch below, reddish at base. Fls with + ring hairs at base (Bar), smooth aclinine not ribbed, 7mm long. Petals oblate, entire renarginate but not with inflexed tips. All BvH good for habit of inflo m which the earlier umbels are on short (1/2-1in) peduncles, the later peduncles being 4-6 in. Often w/ a smaller accessory umbel (or axillary peduncle) branching off near the tops. Fls bisexual but bisex separated by a ribbed enlargement at tips about .9mm high, as all Cate.
