Glands yellowish green except the central older ones which are def. red. (In these red glands the white almonwood side readily separates from the fleshy upper part.) Tubercles vary in shape & size but some cylindrical to 1 mm. 5-14-31 Ranunculus nemorosus DC. (See 5-12-31) Fl. Glab. Thick rootstock horizontal with fleshy white rootlets & filamentous fibrous remains of old sts. Plant like (5-12-31) except 30cm high (certainly more normal height), and pubes- ce varied. Lvs larger (to 4 cm across) and the sinuses bet the crenate lobes wider. Flo 8cm diam, pedicel always 5. Carpel was (5-12-31) strongly bordered. Note at & franellus almost naked (?) and def grooved entire lengths. 5-15-31 Poncirus trifoliata Ref. B.M.G.C.P.448 Fl Cult Val-Mont farm, Bush high, green vagations Petals to 1 in long x 3/4 in wide, concave, narrowed retto absolutely to alint Claw. Fl 1 1/2 - Zindian... Stamens 25. Quady pubescent, 8-celled, ovules many in each cell. Stigma spherical, glabrous, on short thick style. Thorn (to 1/2 in) single in axil of fls. (Can be seen in young lvs just appearing)
