Ovaries very hairy Corolla almost pure white with very faint fringe & purple at lip Flo. 1-3 in axils of lvs, the pedicels sometimes making a distinct cross X. Lvs subcordate or rounded. (Latter flo found in various shades & tints) [5-13-34 Note white globules on anthers. 5-14-31 Sanicula europaea L. Cote II/54, Bon 196, BonH/80. Early fl. Alion. Many flo in the heads seems daily. 5-14-31 Populus tremula L. Cote II/272, Bon 289, BonH 429, BMgE.P 225. No fl or fr. Alion lvs often broader than long x. 2.5x3 cm and flattened not pointed at apex. 5-14-31 Euphorbia dulcis L. Cote III/235, Bon 279, BonH 406 Fl. Alion. Root yellowish exactly as ill'dec.(Cote). Scales at base but few. St (in one case) 50 cm. Umbels 5- rayed with few or more (in one case?) fl brachies (ob- lus) below. Whole plant looks glabrous but some lower stiffly pubescent beneath lvs long (or slightly broadend toward apex) to 6.5x2 cm., abruptly contracted at base into a petiole of 1-3 mm., dark green and mid-sib def light. blads orbicular, a little jagged on edges, upper surface a bit fleshy & vein-marked.
