Flos 3-4 cm wide, pale purple much bluer than A. pyrenaicum!, with conspicuous white center. Petals pubescent on face below!. Filaments broadened & flattened to 1.5mm at base, v pubescent on outside below. Rootstalk with brown scales (BVH) Very common 5-9-31 Kalium silvestre Poll Cote II 250, Bon 141 BVH 221. Fl. lilim. St very slender, another slightly roughened with sparse, irregular hairs. Internode 5 cm much longer than low. Leaves whole; 7-8, very narrow (to 1.5mm wide), 10-17mm long, with flattened acute tip, glabrous above, with short, stiff, upward- pointing hairs at edge (but not def. ciliate), mid- nerve beneath relatively broad & lighter colored. Bracts are pale yellowish green with short, stiff purpescence, sharply acute, lowest teeth about 3mm long.
