bracts, invol. in about 2 series vallequal. pappus of capillary bristles, anthers not tailed at base, rays yellow. : Beneicio Tite p753. Bracts not + series connate at base & without alnt bracte at base. : Doronicum St. hollow, strongly ridged, almost glabrous below but becoming thickly glandular pubescent shortly below fl. level. No band two collected but too distant in this piece to st., there being only 2 in the 10in length each outstretying a bud. There are bracte (the lower one broadly so) Calyx sessile, def virrea. toothed, pubescent on both sides. Invol. bracts ±2 cm long (from at. to tip) narrowly lanceolate, acuminate, ciliato, pubescent but not glandular above the base Receptacle cone shaped v hollow, pubescent (not velvety) Rays 3cm x 4mm somewhat irregular toothed at apex. Achenes oblong, truncate, strongly ribbed, those rays glabrous without papppus, those of center silvery pubescent + with papppus & denticulate hairs. Val Mont, Infl + 3 particles to 4 in long from terminal bud (a young about now 2in long will make there soon natural) Stg infl apressed pubescent wth deciduous bracts at each branching. Disk at base of perianth maybe calyx. Perianth 4 (or 5) lobes (like heliconium) green outside brown-purple inside. Stamens as many as lobes.
