5-5-31 Crydalis lutea DC. Costa I 66, Bon 14, B&H 23 Fl. Val-Mont grounds so perhaps cult. Bracts very pale, Arched above middle much shorter than older pedicels but a little longer than the young pedicels. Sepals white ish, dentate. Corolla to 15mm overall. St angled 5-5-31 ?? Ulmus glabra Huds B.MQC.P 233, B&H 4/5 = U. scabra Mill = U. montana Willd. Costa III 252 = U. montana Sm. Bon 283 ?? flor fr. If exactly like ill Cnte. Note leaf base not as oblique as other species, some veins forked, apex relatively long. Petioles 1/2 mm or much less. Young growth with spreading white hairs. I too look shining beneath in spite of hairs (a.?S.) but as well as on veins. Tufts of hair in lower axils. Stipules about 7mmn, very narrow & delicate, pale, spreading be. fore they fall. (See 5-12-81 5-7-31 ? Doronicum Cut flower 10in long brought by Ina Drage prident. Using hey B.MQC.P. Head 3 in across with yellow disk flowers, 1 series of yellow rays; invol not dry, scarious & imbricated, receptacle naked (this persistent), bases shows no signs of being adaxial? "punctate or glandular or resinous dotted" nor is pappus ?, scales : see Telenium tribe vits genera.)
