7-21-31 Bon 355 = Lasiagrostis Calamagrotioides (ing) = Stipa Calamagrotis Wahlend SVKI 49. Fz. Elion, shortly west of lower bridge on path towards Mont Fleuri. Lon 5-7 mm wide. 1st glume ±7 mm, lemma 4mm (densely covered with long spreading hairs), awn 10+ mm. 7-21-31 Seneca Comyza DC (see 7-26-31) Fz. Elion. Above brown, ridged, club-shaped 2.5 mm long, oblique at base; pappus tan-y, benticulate, 1 row, united at base. Achene with few short hairs towards top. 7-21-31 ?Salix Caprea L (see 5-3-31) 20 ft N of Elion on the rd west of town just before reaching saw-mill. Twiggy purple-brown, puberulent. Lon to 6.5 x 4 cm, very slightly ribby but above thickly pub with creeping hairs - veins very distinct; tip abruptly down-curved. Stipules conspicuous. Buds glabrous or lightly red. 9-24-31 Malva Alcea L. Cote I 336, Bon 55, & 568, RMDCP 484, SVKI 449. Fz. Veytaux at lower end of St Banchaux. Lives much in the hill (Cote). Whole plant rough with starry hairs. Carpelles black, flat-ovate, slightly rough- ened cross-wise, rounded on back (no edges), breaking away from axis just so as to leave a part of coat so that axis is left surrounded by row of cells (each cell wall made of the united coatings of adjacent carpels.
