Lf blades as dense (SVI) with the rough green ridges on upper surface connected by colorless stripes and blades rolled (by lengthwise) in drying. Spikelets 4 mm long.
8-16-31 Poa alpina L. Cote III 6/5, Bon 369, BV# 561, SVI 70, A/56 Jaman. This is the viviparous grass common on Nape. Perhaps found with developed spikelets earlier. This spec with only empty glumes or a few viviparous spikelets remaining. (See 8-29-31)

8-17-31 Cornus mas L. (See 3-29-31) F2. Alion F2 often over 1/2 cm long on pedicels about 1 cm. Fr with a few hairs (appressed, attached in middle). Fruit tasted (acid juice), lvs lighter green than C. sanguinea, flatter & valining beneath.
8-17-31 Cornus sanguinea L. (See 6-20-31) F2. Alion. Fr 5 mm high. v a little broader, thickely covered with white hairs (appressed v attached in middle (20x)) making upper lobes white dotted to eye. lvs (as in C. mas.) with hairs (appressed v attached in middle but beneath also leaves (ample v spreading))
