8-5-31 bracts very broadly spatulate, concave wide with thickened green spot on back above and broad scarious margin (top sides) very often. Outer sepals much like bracts, inner sepals narrow- er, beaked: all with few hairs. Corolla (in anthesis) pale brown. (see 9-16-34) 8-5-31 Viburnum opulus L. (see 5-29-31) F-♀ turning red. Heads sometimes mostly ♂ fi- dsexual flo whence yellow-green-yellow; sometimes mostly ♂ & flo hence white with filiform stigmas prominent. But even the ♂ heads which in bud bear papery bracts.
