7-22-31. Jamaan (Astragalus considered but not poss.) This single. Fls 14mm overall, lfts usually 11, about 85 x 10 mm. Stipules fine, look like another pair. Stamens lfto. Fr pendulant, slender at first larger than calyx. Largest pod now 23x7x 2 mm., pub. not short dark not appressed hairs, dorsal/ventral edges valves almost touch but are not connected by par- tition. Pollen orange. Pod flattened & curved sharply at tip. 7-22-31 Hedysarum Occurum I. Coste I 4/2, Box 91 = #. Hedysaropsis Selting & Telling SVK I 4/4. Fls advance. ed fts. Roche de Naye. Fls 2Cm long bright purple. 1fto. 5-23 s long (slightly under at base) the parallel lateral veins showing plainly when held to light. Plant 20cm high. Of 4 very slender stems, simple or 2-branched at top. Basal leaves many in loose rosette 10x 4 mm or slender petiole to 75mm. Blades entire or serrately 1-2 toothed, apressed pub. St. less ill. Pedicels 1cm a less. Pods spherical about 2.5 mm in diam. Valves slightly roughened, glabrous (a.t.s.) showing net like the lines not reticulate veins. Seeds 4-6 in each.
