4-22-31 nota: def. so as in abrs. Corolla slightly smaller than abrs. slightly with stripes showing more plainly Capsule hairy only near top on edges. Seeds sometimes 12 in each valve, hollowed one side, wrinkled on the other. 4-22-31 Veronica arvensis L. Coate III 39, Bon 286 BvH 349, 4728 Fl. Slim & red. Veins of lvs showing strongly beneath. Pedicels (e.t.s.) 1mm long i.e. much shorter than bracts (Coate says "plus longs"). Bracts (e.t.s.) also no sign of being "cup shaped" (BvH) 4-22-31 Aubrieta deltoides DC. BM D.C.P. 309. Fl'd young for Cult. Val. Mont. Commonly beautiful on vin walls in Slim's vicinity. Lower lvs erect or at, the thickish petioles slightly clasping. Hairs of st. ample or branched on obtuse lvs, peduncles, calyx & foot all incrusted with stellate hairs. Filaments more or less winged on edges the "foot" of elastic filaments (BM) C.P. consisting of an upward prolongation of the inside of the filament al- most equal in height to the anther. Fl 15mm more across Bright blue-fouled. Lvs usually 2-toothed on each side, never more. 4-22-31 Buxus sempervirens L. Coate III 275, Bon 289, BvH 409, BM D.C.P. 458 Hedge. Cult. Note!
