7-5-31 ? Solidago Virga-aurea L. Coates, 288, Ron /Co. = S. Virgaurea L. BTH/237 Early H. Jamaan Sta- tion. St 6 lin., stiff, erect, ridged, glabrous or pube- cent. Fl. heads 1? median, about 10 rays. Disk of disks 7-8 mm. Beasts with somewhat fluted whit-ish edges e.p. at the broadened base. Anthers not tailed. L. nos parts much like ill (3/4) but inf narrower heads relatively much larger. Glen, only pos in Coats. Adenese (a.f.s.) slightly pubescent. 7-5-31 Ranunculus aconitifolius L. (see 5-12/29-31) Usurpae f. Jamaan Station Adlene differs from ill. (Coats) in that beak this more less bent forward is rarely as def. Curved as in ill. 7-5-31 ? Phyteuma spicatum L. (see 5-6-31) Fl. Jama. Fl. yellowish-greenish white; st. def. hollowy to ridged, Filaments ciliate on the enlarged bases, style hairy on upper part. St. fly to summit but upper lvs sessile, narrowly lanceolate, the smallest in long. All lvs mid secondary nervs prominent beneath. Base lvs from 1 1/2 in longer than wide. Beasts narrowly lanceolate not as if yet denodentate as else for P. Halleri All but some of other Obs. more like this than like P. spicatum. (Still a mystery)
