4-17-31 Primula
Fl. Alion (Planesoul) would be thought to be P. elatior
Nill except that corolla has some folds at mouth as
P. vulgaris v P. veris (Cote # 522, BVH 302, BM), CP.
519 say P. elatior has no folds at mouths.) This
may be a hybrid bet. P. vulgaris x P. veris as
desc. BVH 300, Lf very like P. veris but less
abruptly contracted. Inf! like P. veris (sepals v
pedicels looking glabrous but [20x] with very faint
sparse pubescence - almost papillose). Calyx most
nearly like P. vulgaris with prominent angles
v sharply acute lobes but calyx not as
pubescent as P. vulgaris and more lovely
fitting than P. vulgaris (not however def. in-
fated like P. veris v not dark green on angles
as P. elatior [Cote]). Corolla most like P. vulgaris
in that limb is almost as flat and almost as
broad (13 mm while P. vulgaris is 25+ mm. v P.
veris is 18 mm at most) but differs in that
color is almost as dark as P. veris v tube most
like P. veris in being only slightly exerted
beyond calyx. Orange colored spots at base of
corolla looks like those of P. veris
4-17-31 Chelidonium majus L. Cote # 63, Bon/3 BVH

Filament narrowed to a thread at apex.
