at base, coarsely toothed. Flo 3/4in across in Corymb.
Calyx lobes 2 in long, gland-hispid, very narrow
in middle, then expanded into rather globose
sides, not later, resembling those of P. nitida but
longer. Pedicels & calyx tube toward base sparsely
gland-spriny. Calyx lobes spreading when petals
fall off to show thick disk. Only poss demo P. virgin-
iana or perhaps x bet that & P. nitida but con-
sider R. flava.
