edges. Fl. Cluster on short peduncle, terminal on twig last year, the winter scales Aculeus some, at least, acuminata. Peduncle glabrous (not pubescent like pedicels). Bracts about 3 mm. orbicular, glabrous, minutely (20x) ciliate on edge; pinkish on edge, the single obscure nerve making low tip just behind minutely toothed apex (but not awl-like as in the bracteoles). Drufl. consists of 5-fld bud (2 more had evidently formed but not devel- ped.) Lvs appearing on upper inch of twig only (be- low that twig bare, its buds not [yet, at least] devl. going. Lvs entirely glabrous except finely (20x) & sparsely ciliate, but its edge bears very noticeable (20x) stalked glands (or perhaps these should be con- sidered very minute teeth with glands at apex). Corolla gamopetalous. No resinous dots evident on pedant. [See 6-28-29 6-20-29 Ribes lacustre Poir. G 453, OV II 236 Fl. Sporus. Borla Trail. Glands on pedicels & ovary purple.
