very woolly inside.

Ericaceae. Prob a blue huckleberry. Buds very young
lvs. Spec. wildy twig 5 in. long. Sp. Blk Trail. Perhaps with
Kalmia polifolia (above). St. green, warty with whitish
spots, with minute pubescence which seems
to be in 2 lines. The bracts at base of pedicel are ovate,
glabrous, with an awl-like appendage just back of tip which is concave & minutely (20x) toothed.
Bract, exclusive of appendage, 2mm x 1mm.
Pedicel 1mm, pubescent. Calyx glabrous entirely,
glabrous, its ovate lobes 1mm deep. The 10 stamens
on short flattened filaments which show no signs of pub-
escence. Anthers prolonged in tubes upward but not awned. Corolla still green with brown tinge & red on
