20-25 mm x 2-3 mm, acute, def ciliate at the joined bases. The two longest acutest nodes. Lower two similar but tending to be narrower & more spatulate. On Ha scrfwd 1-sided raceme at tip & at v apexps 10 more acut- asyracemesw developing later below. Bracts inf. similar to lo but shorter so as not to ovrhtp calyx (sometimes alighty). Pedicels slender 5-7 mm. Calyx 10 mm light, narrowed & not umbelic at base, with 10 green nerves, the space between thenerves & transparent. Teeth 2.5-3 mm, in elong- ted triangles, erecting (v.f.) (a.t.S.) usually purple edged and sometimes veined deep purple. Teeth el. iate or edged v tip. Corolla seems (filed w/when studied) as long or a little longer than calyx. Petls green in claw, red in the 2 lobed limb; 2 scale lobed greenish-white. Filaments glabrous. Fl seems sometimes to have only rudimentary petals. All dist fil now has subsesent carpelne 2 mm high & glabrous capsule 7mm ie. to reaching to tip of calyx. Seeds (unique) in thre, kidney shaped, 1.5 mm long, flat on sides, deeply grooved on back with thin ruffled wing-edges. Stamens not exserted. Shape seeds suggest S. bipelita Def or Sambigualeant Bar61 but included in S. sericea All forma antiqua Kut469 but relative size of carpels (may lengthen in maturity) is against this.
