& P.) Note that in one place land is really salt sand with
Eriogonum maritimum, Duda Erihmodete etc
but don't remember whether this found with them.
Root slender as annual v white. Stude emergent
at base & perhaps not completely erect, 10-12 in
tall, dark green tinged reddish at nodes, pub
erulent but not at all glandular or viscid. (No glands
or viscosity on plant anywhere). Lower lvts with weak
young branches in axils v upper lvts with beginning
of branches. Lvs long-apiculate to broadly ob-lanceolate
(middle those in crores) 4-6x1.5 cm long tapered
to base, the lower ones somewhat narrower and
long tapered to base, the upper ones shorter about
3-4x1 cm and almost straight sided not tapering
to base. Lvs puberulent, ciliate at the joined bases.
Lvs both edges ruffled (esp upper ones) and edges of
upper lvts Infl (now) consists of 8 lobed at
apex (suggesting unilateral decuspidescence)
absent. Bracts like lvs but smaller. Pedicels about
1cm long. Calyx not umbellie, slender at base
and (infl.) only slightly enlarged upward.
