Dense brownish gray leaf beneath and sepals spotted dark in that the subtubular bases of the hairs are dark, this may be var. plantagineum Willd. Bar 49. This the upper mat fl nodes 15mm long (hardly bracteiforme). Data also that 'foliodes del opacis' while ciliate are certain. By in some cases nearly 'lampião's on the surface. The fruits in infl (Bar Will show bracts) Plant flores shaggy from the long white hairs mixed with shorter ones. Petals not dark spot. 4-27-32 Ononis pubescens L. var brevilora Kn II 64 = O. breviflora DC. Bar 109, Bar 79, Costa I 3/4 FL Bellevue. Light fresh green. Lower to all 1-foliate (as Costa suggests, Bar to the contrary), the left oblong and 35X11 mm, intermediate 3-foliate; uppermost 1- foliate. Arms to 15 mm, surpassing calyx. 4-29-32 E. Eclium Creticum L. forme maritimum Kn II 309 = E. maritimum Willd. Bar 328, Box 228 Costa II 593 FL Bellevue. Lower to 1-nerved & very like ill (Costa) not like E. plantagineum L. with which cf'l. Flo dark purple, same shade as E. arenarium Lucc.
