(579) Carlina corymbosa L.
12-10-30 ? Atractylis humilis K.K. II *86 Bar.
18a (Not in Bar.) Flo½s. R.P. vet Cornell & S. Maria.
Agrees perfectly with desc. of genuine in Bar. &
with all ½ descr. of species in Bar. (except flo.
could hardly be called rose) I don't personally
certain tho. K.K. reports it from Dorée only.
In find the ext. bracts (much like the fry) are
short erect or spreading while the much, intermed-
iate v nitric bracts form a cone enveloping the
flo. Intermediate bracts, short, closely appressed,
lanceolate, webby, prickly-pointed. Three bracts
longer as long lanceolate stiff, appressed, purple
interj., yellow-purple
v-yellow, acutely pointed, glabrous. Infloresc.
the outer bracts are spreading, the intermediate v
inner ones erect but never spreading as in Carlina. (Flo all tubular, equal, yellow.)
Silky hairs pale green more or less yellowish.. Later of
field with plants unidentifiedly Carlina corymbosa L.
and look them in all essentials but consider
C. racemosa L. Bar 273 (not in Bonn Cate but I'm guess
a. — DC = C. corymbosa L.)
12-10-30 Leonis
R.P. Alaró - Sta. Maria. Spiny ends of branches
shows it belongs to Antiquorum - procurrens-
reflexus group. (see 4-20-30) St. park and later
gland- foot. arose the two largest left 7 x 4 mm
others. Almost all perhaps all flo's or part collected
with left. v bar young growing from axil.
