a few obscure hairs on back of upper lip at tip
3-17-30
lip large (almost ½ in long x ½ in wide) always. Corolla
glabrous inside out. Stamens with anterior
portion [connectives] adherent their full length
deflexed into swollen part of tube. Corolla
tube leans posteriorly and below plane at which
filaments are affixed 2 short white projections
which might be staminodes. Outside the base
of the swollen portion ends in 2 concavities or
pockets, looking from inside these pockets
are found to be terminated by flat appendage
1/4 mm long. Style flattened with line of hairs on
back, conspicuous (20x). Ovary small at this
stage, the part of disk which projects below them
longer than ovules. Pedicels about ½ in long app.
