Box 293. Fl. Field west of Denver Cemetery. Upper lip
cleft half its length; lower lip hairy inside with stamenous
v style pressed close against it. (A) Fl purple, palate yellow.
(B) Corolla pale purplish with upper lip still lighter,
almost white. Lvs faintly 3-5 nerved. (See 4-25-30

Fl. Field west of Denver Cemetery. Petals blood red with

black spot at base, the black spot with white border
(much wider inside than outside) at top. Peduncle
very rough hairy. Stigmas 3, lobes distinctly
overlapping. Filaments very dark purple, anthers
olive-drab. Spce. filled with only lower base of
peduncles. There are 3-divided to base in long

linear segments some of which are again 3-div
ided. Lvs rounded at top
B. Same field but the same since capsule very
smooth v not elongated as in P. dubium L. But
fl the paler brick-fl red associated with P. dubium.
Stigmas 7, lobes less overlapped than A.
