3-14-30 Pistacia Lentiscus L. (See 2-4-30) Often bud. Bellver.
Stamens usually 6, sometimes 7, filaments short; anthers
large. Calyx lobes about as to be hardly countable.
3-14-30 Sonchus
Bellver. 10 in high, glabrous except for a little
tomentum at base & young blade which in
bud & young fr looks quite like S. tenerrimus.
Lvs (no basal ones remaining) consist of single
blade widest at base with lobes pointing down-
ward v slightly vertical (constricted little
if any above base) on a long wrinkled petiole
which more or less clasps & holds pointed lobes.
Blade wings very laciniate. Upper lobes have
progressively under wings or more clasping
base, the uppermost being acule, clasping
with pointed lobes. Fl head 4. Seeds brown
ribbed v the ribs cut finely transversely.
Prob a form of S. oleraceus L.
3-14-30 Allium Chamaemoly L. Nu I 369, Bz 438
Bx 398. Fr Bellver. Only 1 clump found on path east
from gate. Bulbs sample oval 3/8 in x 1/2 in diam. Outer
of bulb solid enclosed in firm white tunica & parts
of brown coverings - parts the white layers of previous
years. No ods. Lvs linear to 6 in x 3/6 mm, soft, long-
ciliate on edges. Scape 3/4 in. Dense 5-15 fld.
Capsules nodding, 3 black seeds in each calyx
