Hillside Son Roca (maybe cultivated). Shoots are
not more than 5 ft. Low alt ascens Bar villae'll Bon.
Fls in short axillary racemes (shorter than low)
No petals. Calyx with definite tube & 5-lobed that
fold toward center with edges touching in bud
& are reflexed in anthesis. Stamens 5, pro-
jecting, alt with sepals inserted just below
mouth of tube. (?) No fleary diaks lining calyx
tube apparent). Abortive ovary seems 3 celled
(seems likely to be 3-angled) with 3 stigmas.
St. infl drops away readily, the little bracts
which form cup like (shelf-like) depressions
for the pedicels seeming to be part of stem, not
at all detachable. (See 3-11-30) See 5-14-30, 5-17-30, 4-26-30
