hairs at very base. Bracts entirely smooth. Hips about 5mm, short lacerate fringed at top, more or less silky pubescent on back. In each spike the lowest pair (?spikelets ?) seem (both almost sessile)
seem ?, the succeeding pairs as dense. Own is clearly 4x length of ?spikelet & seems often larger.

Bud & young fs. Bet La Vileta & Son Roca or at Son Roca linear, sessile.
St to Stingle white, woolly. Roots for 1/4 x 1/8 in or slightly wider at apex, entire except for few low distant teeth toward apex, edges slightly revolute, long white hairy both sides. Internode
1/4 in. Stipules none, the spikes forming indistinct ridges around st. St does not seem sq. Flo solitary,
sessile in each axil. Calyx hairy & 5-toothed. Very free, distinctly 4 lobed. Style short part 3-4 divided
at top. Corolla delicately membranaceous gamo-petalous, not seen developed but probably very small with 4 stamens attached at very top.
Dried remains found on developing fs.
