391: Vicia lutea Cross v Kern Box 87 Fl. evidently cult in field with Crocanthe speciosa. St very sharply ridged. Raceme usually 5 fl. Tendril so short as to pass unnoticed. Calyx deeply cut but tubalnost 1/3 of its length (perhaps 4). Corolla white veined by veins blue. Lower lo with lfts about twice as large as upper lvs. have, almost glabrous except on edges; shows beginning of escotula "Bas".
Stipules entire standing forward like little ears.

394. Fl.v unisep fr. Cult. Kerns. Calyx golden on upper side of base. Flo white turning cream, not at all purplish, on very short peduncles which with lengthen become sharply deflexed at a point about mid-way where several small bracts (5) subtend its articulation. Pod velvety.

351, Bar 360. Fl. Rd from Kerns to Marivent train stop. Judged to be this instead of M. biflora Benth var. Rodriguezii Knocha because fl. is whols of more than 6, to 2 or more and is not revolute, sess (not sharp at tip)
Bracts 2mm or less long.
