in fascicles 5 mm long sharp pointed but not really
pricking, a very sprawling branched st. bears
branches to 10 cm which in turn bear branches
1-2cm. Branches ridged v pubescent. (See B.albus.)

Highway west Cas Catala. Every young fr. Differs
from H.H. in umbel more convex v each umblet
more convex apart from others. Central fl purple.
All flo in bud definitely pink. Young fr. has raised
stere let. prickles. After aestivation fl concave as at
H.H. Umbel (in one case) almost 15 cm. but not otherwise
like D. maximus Deaf (See Bor 124)
