ciliate on edges, subtending a long narrow
awn to tip
palea enveloping a long narrow grain with

cendence of 1 stamen. 2nd lemma similar
one layer or two.
but with longer awn (16 mm overall). Edges
occasionally ciliate, stamen 1, ovary still
young v small stigma v long delicate feathery.
3rd lemma awn to 2nd especially in ciliate
margins but palea smaller & no floret
parts; x 2, 5th v perhaps one lemma awn to
3rd but lacking palea v narrower.
This is poss. a feature of the group sometimes called
Vulpia. See F. fasciculata Forst. Kut 1320 =
F. membranacea Druce BVH 554 (not in Bm)
for glumes like spec. See F. Myurusk. desc.
Bm. 365 with "stamen 1". See also F. ciliata,
Pers Kut 322 not desc. BVH or Bm alth the
sort is found in Great Britain & France.
Poss 2nd floret is sometimes sterile leaving only
the 1 stamen (Found again Bellver 4-10-30
