Edges occasionally ciliate, stamen 1, ovary still young v small stigma v long delicate feathery. 3rd lemma awn to 2nd especially in ciliate margins but palea smaller & no floret parts; x 2, 5th v perhaps one lemma awn to 3rd but lacking palea v narrower.
