Scape 15 in to base, infl., clothed with sheathing tracts from base; the lower ones greenish, long acuminate, passing into bright red, shorter just above at top. Fla Fersile on zig-zog rachis, sutted by very small acute bract sometimes slightly forked. Ovary ridged outside, later adj. Corolla dull, greenish rose tipped blue. Inner seg. striking bright green edged deep blue curling back. Fl. pendulous so that gen. effect is somewhat like fuxia. 4-3-20 Hypoerepis ciliata Willd (see 9-29-20) FL v young pr. Bellevue. Plant 3½ in, peduncles 2-3 flh. Young fr shows clear ? genus plainly. 4-3-25 ? Festuca Grass FL Bellevue. 9 in high. Prebannud. St very slender. Loos exceedingly narrow, involute, glabro. 3-4 in long, the uppermost slightly overtopping infl. Ligules short v obliquely fuscate. Dipl 3 in, 1- sided, open, raceme the spikelets mostly on thick stalk pedicels less than 1 mm long but at base spikelets in 2's consisting 1 one almost pedicelled like those above v a second with ped- cel 3-4mm. 1st glume very small about ⅓ mm
