Petals a deeper pink, a little more than 1/2 as long v broad, not velvety, very blunt & scarcely ciliate. Some fl's have a small protuberance on each side at very base of lip. Lip very broad (its sides are curved downward as if horseshoe), with 5 shallow rounded lobes, the middle one narrow er v its tip curved upward in a small slant, glabrous appendage (an't moved). Lip from velvety with small shining spots, glabrous spot a little forward of center.
