The other spot (Bar) is at very base & some times discrete. Column inclined forward "like bird looking at itself in mirror" says Dr. Neron. Tubers oval rather than round. 3-20-20 (Ophrys speculum Lk. Kut 407, Bar 461) = O. vernuxa Brot. (But not found in Bar altho Kut. says Aigouin in France) Fl. Top? divide or path. Cas. Catala - Bendinat & again in gorge belows. "Tatlers plenus" (Bar) must be translated "hor- izontal" to be true. Lateral sepals extended, curving more or less forward, green with 2 distinct purple-brown stripes (1 about in center, the other on lower edge) greenish on back, edges somewhat revolute. Upper sepal green tinged purplish but not def. striped, curving forward hood-like over anther, edges revolute. Petals tiny, velvety purple-brown triangles with relatively long tip that curl under the fl. Lip large with 2 narrow lateral lobes near base project- ing forward & upward, the middle lobe large rounded, with its bent down to make sac-like effect & shallowly notched at tip. Lip edged with beard of longial brown hairs, center shining & glabrous (very conspicuous).
