Transcription
3-29-30 Calyx, Corolla bright yellow, standard with dark er veins, keel printed. Part of disk or much stand- ard is seated hard & muzzy, apparent corn where covered by calyx. Fl about 10mm long, bent upward from tip of calyx. Ovary linear, glabrous, 4-ovuled. Stamens diadelphous & seem enlarged at apex. Lobes of calyx furry inside & on edges. Ck w/ ? H. umbilignosa L 3-26-30 (See 4-3-30 [But see also : H. telenicra Wulf 3-1-32 3-29-30 Melilotus suaveolens Deaf (see 3-17-30) Ck by Mr Neron. Peduncle very definitely aristate & racemes (older than 3-17-30) are larger than lvs. Fl has same exterior dim as 3-17-30 but I'm not so sure it's being 1-ovuled. 3-29-30 Ornithogalum umbellatum L. Knt 398 Box 436, Box 396 Bx H. 498, BM J.C.P. 162. From Neron. Infl only no root or lvs. 3+9 in single the lower 4 in part underground. Fls in broad 4 in open corymb. Lower pedicels to 2¼ in w/ very acute bracts 1¾ in. Perianth org all pointed the 3 outer ones to 3¼ in, outside green with narrow white margin, the 3 inner slightly shorter out- side green in center only w/ broad white mar- gins & tips.
