pale yellow, silky pubescent on back, delicately cre-vened inside, wings bright yellow v beelt purple at apex. Ovary 2 mm, hairy, 2-celled, or pubescen- a, style 2 1/2 mm. [See BVH 121 v B.M.] C.P. 415 for genius ] (See 4-10-30 3-29-30 ? Hypsoeetia ciliata WLLD, Kn II 13, Br 156 Bon 91 Col by Mr. Nelon. F.L. branch upper part of plant 8 in high. St branelled, angled v minutely appressed puberulent. Stipulae small, free, lanceolate. I sault, the pisticles dicurrent in V-shaped ridges on st. L vs 1-1/2 in sic. falcide, odd. primary with 4-6 jers. D D long linear lfts 6 x 2 mm. Lfts show no distict nerves but are bent somewhat upward along mid-rib trough-wise, blunt but broad-mucron- ate at tip, entire, almost glabrous above, but with slight white hairs appressed below-like. Fls maxillary pedicelled about 1/2 in long, in a naked funnel of 7a less flo. Pedicels short. Calyx about 5 mm., teeth almost equal but the 2 posteriors with cincts, narrower since which terminates a ridge down back of calyx v the 2 lateral sinuses deeper than the anterior ones making a obliquely 2-lipped effect. Calyx with same hairs as brots. Claws of petals longer than calyx.
