Fl. Twig, 6 in long
about & firm but prot. not woody, velvety. In salt,
terminal lft
particle broad 1/4 in x 2+ x 1/6 mm, below this on lower side
7th particle 3-4th? about half these dimensions some
to less of aft this 3rd lft very small & at base 9 particle
on lower side in a position that suggests stipule.
4th lft longer than 3rd but much smaller than 2nd.
This arrangement varied in one case by an
extra lft bet 1st & 2nd. Lfts oblate (determined me
very definitely as) entire, velvety, broad side
no stipules unless the 4th lft is one. Also in 5-6 in
axillary almost sessile leaf, subtended by
small 2-folliole lf, of general appearance like
st.-lvo. but lfts somewhat oblique, sharper pointed
& the terminal lft & only a little longer than #4.

mentioned in books.] Fl 1 1/2 mm overall. Calyx
11 mm? of which the 5 sharp teeth are 2mm. Calyx
tubular, velvety, & prot will be awlled. Stamens
dia
radial forms, the 5 free even in bud, the
all stamens the rest forming a tube to near
their tips, all stamens of same length and
inflated at their tips then abruptly narrowed
as tho the long anthers were on short pedicels.
Style only just longer than stamens, stigma
