fringed, the lower lip slanted (ending at beginning
of fringed part of upper lip) a little nar. at apex.
Stamens as in iris, all white even to pollen
reaching just to tip of upper lip.
Evidently not in Kewele, Barolo's Bonnier
See B.M.J.C.P. 191 Eranzia section esp I. japponica,
Thunb., which is exact desc & apex. Could this
have been recently introduced? Flo slightly
fragrant.

Collected from garden & Infanta do of, with above.
agrees with F. aurea Todar. Bis 476, just that
flo are 3-4 cm. brd, glaucous at least at
base, spathe swollen, st valves almost
equally scarious for not more than 1/3 length.
= I pallida Lam var aurea Riolites. But note
that acc to Bonnier 304 v B.M.J.C.P 192 I. pallida
has both spathe valves entirely scarious
Our apex has flo almost white (faintly bluish)
flo bearded yellow. The 2 terminal flo are
sessile in spathe. It bears lateral branchs
1 3/4 in, shorter than the spathe with 1 sessile fl.
