"16" Red, green and [illegible] shales, with two or three beds of greenish-grey sandstone interstratified at nearly equal intervals; general confusion prevails amongst these shales caused by several small faults. 200' "174 Red and green slates, alternating in nearly equal proportions, considerably harder than any of the preceding shales."
