Sep. 17 Friday Off Labrador.
The fog continued all day and but little proper navigation. A storm threatens and the ship pitches some. Most of the day was spent in the bunk.
Towards night we approach the straits of Belle Isle but due to the fog our position is problematical. We hear two steamers pass during the night.
A few of the passengers are somewhat alarmed for our safety due to the proximity of the land and the thickness of the fog.
Battle Harbor was sighted.
