A splendid cool day with no cloud in the sky all day. The sequence across the stiles down the road to Cannes des Roches is as follows: [This is Cannes des Roches of Riche - Observatoire] The Richmond is at the intersection of the roads. Great Fault in a little hollow. Thick redded red clay like here near the English Church day 5 October (illegible) near Corner on the Beach. Dip nearly vertical. Thickness seen about 10' Corner gone from a long distance down the road to the sea. About 280 yards as stepped and along winding of the road, or about 400 of my usual steps. Devonian is surely where. E = Cannes des Roches] Small bottle greenish clay 6' Wine prod 70 yards Red cm-red ded ss 5' Red st 36 yards as stepped Small bottle greenish clay, about 10' Red st with some red ss, 70 yards across Thick redded small bottle clay, greenish 7' dip 32N, 70E Then the rest of section on right hand page ->
