A splendid cool day with no cloud in
the sky all day.
The sequence across the stiles down the road to
Cannes des Roches is as follows:

Great Fault in a little hollow.
Thick redded red clay like here near the English Church
day 5 October (illegible)
near Corner on the Beach. Dip nearly vertical. Thickness
seen about 10'
Corner gone from a long distance down the road to the sea.
About 280 yards as stepped and along winding of the road, or
about 400 of my usual steps. Devonian is surely where.
