Wednesday Aug 27-1930, continued. Shortly to the N.E. I turned to the left on a road that fres to the shire, gravel and the place called Cannes des A prologed break from this hollow. Proches. Both sides the fault zone and near the shore one [=Cannes de Proche] eroes up in the Devonian series at a much lower dip than is usual. The dip starts in at about 80° but flattens to 30° near the shore. This section gives the best thickness of the Devonian, but it must be added to shire engl and ss = ?30' On interpretation see page to left. Shore red etc as before the 30' Cinn tedded ss somewhat engl. 6' Mine red et with caliche mudules 100' or more, dip 30° 2. This is the lowest dip seen anywhere in this baske SS. Small pettite greenish engl, 5' followed by 10' of cinn tedded and engl ss. Shore loose ss to shore. The section is according to show day ?30' lying N along the shore these low dipping baske SS or soon rise to 80° dip and then remain so to the Corner. Then walked south along the shore from Cannes des Proches for about 3/4 mile where I could not get around the fallen immense masses of Perce Ls but it is here All immediate comes into the other. all crushed and distorted being in the fault zone. Saw a large Dalmunite tail, Leftroselia flabellites and specific mining the Perce series I fell no breathing and pink very hard ls. Further N are again red Devonian and small pettite cryst. humbled Cape Cunnm thin tedded ls. The
