This SITUATION. Basal CONTACT of D2 is erosional. D2 in this portion of the distal basin has coarsely arkosic sands w/ qtz & feldspar frags. Amazonite also reported to occur. Lignites are thin. D1 is much finer grained in general and lignitic w/ thick lignites in this portion of the basin. At approximate contact here there is a distinct topographic bench between them. 20m below CONTACT is a Big Dirty Type 8M Coal w/ numerous ash fall Tonsilns that has burned to form a clinker in places.
