Chicago Dec 26 - 1976. Sunday.
In spite of starting ten minutes late our arrival in town out Chicago = 7:05 A.M. & at my studio to Madison this (462), sent a telegram to Toratchfield, had breakfast at the station. This is the new "Union" station, a very large and sumptuous affair, no money was saved anywhere in building it. Out to Madison on the Milwaukee - St Paul.
Left Chicago on M. St. Paul R.R. for Madison at 8 A.M. and got to Madison at 12:30. Toratchfield with Lawson was at station, but we failed to see each other. Torcha cat me to Toratch Field house at half an hour later he arrived.
In the afternoon Toratchfield, Lawson, Drinker and I counted the ballots of the C. S. A. As usual my men was elected. Rybee got 13 maps.
Lots of ice on the ground and fog for cars and in fact a bad.
Found the Toratchfields are well.
